In 2021, the Western Parkland Councils’ Mayors and General Managers met and consulted with a great number of representatives from various levels of government and key organisations, successfully representing Councils’ views and advocating for the voice of local government to be included where necessary. These included the Chairperson, CEO, COO and all key senior executives of the Western Parkland City Authority, the CEO, District Commissioner, Chief Commissioner as well as other Commissioners and senior staff of the Greater Sydney Commission, both the retiring and new Secretaries of the Department of Planning, Industry and the Environment, CEO and senior executives of Investment NSW, the Minister for Planning and Minister for Transport and the Minister for Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities and the Arts, among others.
